ON HOLD – Here is a nice Pitkin flask that I have had for quite some time. It is a single swirled 36-rib Pitkin flask, roughly 6 3/4″ tall, in a nice tear drop shape. Most Pitkin flasks are double swirled. New England 1780-1820. Although German-half post, this one is just one dip in the mold, and then swirled to the left. Another nice characteristic… this one is much more AMBER than most or all that I have owned. It is clearly different than the rest of them. Nice tubular pontil scar, and neat to see the ribs going all the way into the pontil area. Sheared and refired lip. Excellect condition… just very faint wear here and there. Tough to see this one go!
