Fresh to the market is this superb example of a GI-38 pint flask. This 1830-40s historical flask is BOLDLY embossed, “THE FATHER OF HIS COUNTRY” / Bust of Washington on one side, and “DYOTTVILLE GLASS WORKS PHILAD.A / GEN. TAYLOR NEVER SURRENDERS” / Bust of Taylor on the other side. Really, the best embossing I have seen on this flask, and little to no wear! Olive amber in color, it does pass light nicely in a window, and although it isn’t one of the brightest color… it is quite scarce! Open pontil base, sheared top. Condition is near mint, with a small flake inside the lip (probably a cork pry), otherwise fantastic condition. Another HISTORICAL flask with the name of the glass factory (and location) embossed on it!
