Here is an interesting piece… this is a large (13″ tall) 3 piece mold jar, that looks to have been produced from the mold of a demijohn. The best feature is that it is a beautiful medium cobalt blue color, and with an early crude whittle effect throughout! Really a stunning piece! This one looks to be 1870s, and very likely an American made piece. The base has a resting rim, and dot in the center, and lip is applied. Very minor scratches, but in excellent condition. Originally found in Massachusetts, it is quite possible that this was produced in Lyndeborough NH. Rare and unusual to say the least!
