Here is an example of the GV-5 Railroad / Railroad pint flask, attributed to Mt. Pleasant Glass Factory, NY, 1840s. This example is a deep olive amber color, almost black glass, but you can see the color when holding it up to a window or lighting. The embossing is quite strong, better than most, and very little to no high point wear. Sheared lip, and open pontil base. This one was in an old collection, evidence on an early base sticker. Condition is about mint, with two open bubble bursts keeping it from being perfect. Luckily both bubbles are on one side, so displays perfect. You can see a bubble at 9:00 in the last photo.
