Here is a spectacular early American medicine bottle, that I thought was unlisted, but I see one sold in 1986, however, this example is misspelled. This is an early 1830-40s rectangular paneled medicine bottle with concave corners, boldly embossed, ” G. W. OAKCLEY’S / PERURATIVE SYRUP / READING, PA”. Note the spelling of Oakley is OAKCLEY. Brilliant aqua glass, applied sloping collar, open pontil base. PRISTINE perfect bottle, and extremely rare!
