Here is a fine square snuff jar that is been in my collection a long time! It is highly unusual, and just loaded with character. The color is a bright yellow green (no amber), and it has good clarity to the glass. The panels all around are about as whittled as you will see… it must have been a cold mold! The lip flares out nicely, and the base has a tubular pontil scar. I think this one might be from New England or the Midlantic area, and definitely early, may be 18th. I haven’t seen another quite like this one. Has a cork, may be the original. Condition is very good. There is the smallest (1/16″) flat edge flake and a burst bubble inside the mouth. This is a GREAT one!
