Here is a fine piece of Early American tableware, probably Pennsylvania or Massachusetts origin, made between 1800-1830. The preservation of such an object is fantastic! This one stands roughly 7 1/2″ tall with the lid, and it is a perfectly matched pair, undoubtedly made together. Bulbous bowl, galleried rim, circular foot with pontil scar. Lid is quite bulbous and elongated, and topped with a button type finial. Together they look magnificent! Condition is also perfect… just base wear, as expected.
